Casavecchia di Nozzole
A charming country house located in the heart of Chianti, Tuscany's rich and fertile winemaking area. Just a few minutes drive from the lively village of Greve, the property is in fact part of a winery owned by an aristocratic Florentine family, famous for producing one of Italy's finest wines. Surrounded by vineyards "Casavecchia" stands in a large garden with its own private pool. It has a spacious veranda from where you can enjoy commanding views of the surrounding landscape - rolling hills, vineyards and medieval villages - the ideal venue for al fresco dining and evening aperitifs. The winery itself stands a few hundred yards from the house and the owner would be delighted to invite guests staying at "Casavecchia" to a special wine-tasting and to the celebrated cuisine classes organised nearby.
On the ground floor a tastefully appointed living room with fireplace leads to the dining room. Next to the dining room there is a fully equipped kitchen with a handy laundry room to the rear. The ground floor also features a small bathroom and of course the incredible veranda with direct access to the garden and pool area. Beamed ceilings and terracotta floors are a standard feature in all rooms. To the left on the way up to the first floor you pass by a comfortable single room that also doubles as a study. The first floor features a central living room from which doors give access to the bedrooms. There are two double bedrooms, one with its own changing-room and en suite bathroom with shower, and another with en suite bathroom with bathtub. One twin bedroom with en suite bathroom with shower completes this floor. The three bedrooms on the first floor all have air conditioning.
